Mar Vista

Mar Vista is considered part of the City of Los Angeles and is located near the center of LA’s West side. This is an economically diverse neighborhood of single- family homes and apartment buildings. The hilly areas near its border with Santa Monica hold some of the most expensive land in the community.

South of Venice Blvd., Mar Vista is flat and has mostly apartments and multi-family units. North of Venice Blvd. the town is hilly with two or three bedroom houses and landscaped yards. Some homes have views (vistas) of downtown Los Angeles-and this is where Mar Vista get its’ name.

The town has a recreations center with many sporting options and facilities.

Schools are in the Los Angeles Unified School District and rank between 30 and 70th percentile.

Downtown Los Angeles is nine miles from Mar Vista, LAX is seven miles,and the beach is three miles away.
