On the other (south) side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula lies the port city of San Pedro. Bordered by the Pacific Coastline, the Port Of Los Angeles, and Rancho Palos Verdes, San Pedro has a maritime feel. Neighborhoods are middle and working class, some with artistic bents, some with customized homes and great ocean views. The city itself is sprawling, and has neighborhoods mixed in with the commercial centers. The commercial areas include: an historical downtown area, several small theatre venues, maritime museums, shopping, restaurants, art galleries and aquariums.
